  1. Never pour grease down drains — it causes sewer blockages and 'fatbergs.'
  2. Let grease cool and solidify, then scrape into a sealed container and put in trash.
  3. Large quantities of cooking oil can be recycled into biodiesel at collection centers.
  4. Clean grease trap components and replace filters according to manufacturer instructions.

Hot grease causes severe burns. Always let it cool completely before handling.
