How to dispose of Microwave

Steps

1. If the microwave works, donate to a thrift store or list on Freecycle/Buy Nothing groups.
2. If broken: Check if your waste hauler accepts small appliances curbside.
3. Take to a local e-waste or appliance recycling center.
4. Some retailers offer take-back programs when purchasing a new appliance.
5. Never put in regular trash in states that ban e-waste from landfills.

Working microwaves are accepted at most Goodwill and Salvation Army locations.
