How to dispose of Tires in Florida

Florida rules

Check county waste management for tire collection events.

General steps

1. Most tire retailers will recycle old tires when you purchase new ones (often included in disposal fee).
2. Check with your local waste hauler — some accept tires during special collection events.
3. Never dump tires illegally — they collect water and breed mosquitoes.
4. Some tire recyclers pay for large quantities of used tires.
5. Tires can be repurposed for garden planters, playground surfaces, or retaining walls.
