How to dispose of Old Gasoline & Fuel in Texas

Check with your city's environmental services for hazardous waste drop-off.

General steps

  1. Never pour gasoline down drains, on the ground, or into storm sewers.
  2. Store in an approved fuel container with a tight-fitting lid.
  3. Do not assume old or contaminated fuel becomes usable by dilution. Ask a qualified mechanic or the engine manufacturer; otherwise arrange accepted hazardous-waste collection.
